London 2 and Munich

Hello hello from Munich where we arrived after a 14 hour bus and ferry ride across 3 different countries.. Nobody slept. Suffering now. Went out for dinner last night to mark Sam joining us (Si's now left :( ) lovely to see him but sad to see Si go.

Second O2 show was great, bit more manic and stressful than the first but no drama except Fletch deciding he wanted a pepperoni pizza at 11.30pm and I had to run around the O2 flashing my laminate to Pizza Express and ZiZi begging them to make him a pizza lol Did more baking/covering myself in flour. Vegan carrot and walnut cake, vegan lemon and blueberry drizzle cake, and yet more crazy cupcakes, this time Nutella 

My friend Graham brought his 2 daughters in, aged 6 and 9, so I made them special butterfly ones 

Unleashed my creativity and produced the most bonkers key lime pie complete with home made meringues.. Wendy said she loved it, not sure she was serious lol

and that's it! Until today where I will rustle up more treats in the father land. Lots of love to al back home. Need to Skype mum tonight and sort out tax return x

London, show 1

What fun?

What fun. No, genuinely it was a good day and not too traumatic. Wendy came and I made cakes and we all worked hard, fed 110 extra people. Show again tomorrow then 14 hour bus ride to Munich. I'm excited. Had the most amazing few days with Ollie chops whilst in London x got to see Lydia, mum, Helen and sev too - what a lovely bunch. Felt so blessed and refreshed seeing everyone, you're all perfect. Pictures of the weekend and today's baking below. Found a good recipe and been having fun experimenting with different styles and flavours. See Hels Bels inspired pink sparkle, chocolate, white chocolate and orange buttercream butterfly ones below:

Also flapjack and vegan banana muffins have been occurring. 

In Bratislava, where they don't speak Bratiavian (apparently that is a made up word) they speak Slovakian. Nice that it's not too hot or difficult to buy stuff. Have icing, caster sugar and baking powder, happy days. Everyone excited to get to London and see friends and family. Got an interesting day lined up: gig tomorrow then hanging around on the buses until 6am when we drive to Vienna to get on a flight to Heathrow. Sleep deprived! But more than worth it to get back and return to normal life for a bit. Can't wait to see Ollie, hopefully Lydia and mother Enf. Been too long xx

Croatia

Memories of Soudwave and doing yoga in the sea three years ago. Where has my life gone! Best road trip ever.

Made it here safe from Budapest. What a lovely city! Our hotel had a casual plane hanging from the ceiling and the best free tea and coffee selection I've sampled thus far! It was all very grand.

Things are settling down now we're out of awful, remote locations. Got this gig then Bratislava before we're in England (can't wait!) Had a pretty good day today. People have taken to calling me Tracey Lou when I get off the bus because I look so hillbilly/ festival ready. It's easiest for me to sleep with my hair in bunches plaits, coupled with shorts and an over sized t shirt.. Cletus! 

Felt a bit bonkers at work today so made some interesting salads and odd looking fruit platter (see pix below). My bakings coming on and I rustled up various treats I'm going to ice tomorrow.

Miss hearing about normal things and what's going on in the world so anyone feeling factual and wants to update, please do xxx

Haloo, greetings from Budapest!

Nice city! Only been here enough to wake up, see the gig, load in and drive back to the hotel. Literally here a matter of hours- gig tomorrow then drive to Bratslava? and do it all again. Good day today though. I've succeeded in planning ahead and have started to carry treats to gigs in air tight containers. Simple stuff like pre-made cookie dough mix makes my life significantly calmer!!

Everyone's slowly falling into the rhythm of things. Toughest part is working alongside people that have done it for ten, twenty years and know what they're doing. having never baked on tour I feel a bit of a twit and noob asking for stuff. On the bright side, haven't poisoned anyone... Yet..

Photos and videos to come. I have a few from blistering gig in Serbia where it was 35 degrees. 35! I nearly cried. All good when you're having fun sun bathing. Not so much, running around, feeding 70 people. Lots of love x

Birthday bum

Feels very odd to have not had a hug from Ollie chops, whiz, lyd's or one member of the Enf clan today! Little bit home sick but survived the overly intense 32 degree heat- every caterers dream! In a marquee, in a field.. All good. Show day tomorrow then we drive overnight to Budapest. Doing 8 in a row now. That's 8 different countries in 9 days! Thank Berocca. 

Can't wait to get to London now. Counting down the days. Mainly to see my beautiful people but also really miss sushi, Starbucks and Boots lovely products !! Going to buy all the necessary and some that aren't. 

Birthday wise got spoilt by the wonderful Hels Bels who sent a card round production, the Popcorn lovelies got me a fleecey super comfy blanket because I'm always complaining on the bus I'm cold! A scented candle, bubble bath, nice scented things and TD (transport division!) were sweethearts and sent a card round. Feet very loved and it was appreciated.

Celebrating my birthday the Serbian way

First off, so sorry for lack of contact to all family, loved ones, chop face.. All been very manic and back to back with 14 hour bus rides in between. Absolutely cream bracketed, still happy, but novelty of tour definitely starting to wear off now!!

It has been stressful and in some cases awful but I'm learning a lot and being put through my paces.. Challenging. Learning lots about the mechanics of people! But the main thing is I'm alive and smiling, big thanks to the boys for helping xx

So, last gig was in Romania (what a shit hole) sorry. No concept of personal space with the locals, men very starey and rude! Gig there was in a massive stadium thus constant running around and sweating all day. 2 days then 14 hour bus ride to Serbia which is where we are now. Went out last night to celebrate my birthday. The boys were great, got here, told me to dump my bags and that they were taking me out. Few drinks at hotel bar then to a live accordion bohemian restaurant in centre of town, lovely. So much cheese, meat and bread! Few pubs, cocktails, then on a boat dancing to electro and house music. Crawled in 8 o clock this morning, woke up 4pm to plan my menus and order room service, not feeling too great but will survive. Love and misses to all back home, I'm 24 in the morning!!!

don't think they've discovered Tarmac yet. Bit of a rough drive getting here. Left Sofia at 6am got to hotel in Budapest 1pm. Knackered. Day off, production then show day then think we're off to Belgrade. Need to sleep then will write more detailed post x

Athens, the fun of it!

Loading in, no one speaking a word of English, catering set up in a tin hut with no power and could it maybe work BBQ !! 5 of us crammed into a tiny tin hut. Having it be sunny for our duration we were surprised when the heavens opened, in poured the rain and all our power got soaked; q power out! 

We managed. It was fun. Entertaining, possibly character building. My highlight was being asked to make 56 sandwiches in 45 minutes. Did it. You do the Maths and that's like, so many seconds per sandwich! Proud moment right there.

Tomorrow's going to be a shocker- up early, leave at 10. Flight to Istanbul to then catch connection to Sofia. We load in at midnight, runner takes us back to hotel 3am, picks us back up again at 7am. Full day, show. Drive to somewhere in Romania, do it all again! New bus, new bunk. Excited. Last day off in Athens

I'm off out! For food and no wine because we all want to detox until next day off. It's been a pleasure but I've eaten too much feta and not enough vine leaves.

Best day off

What a beauty! I am so ridiculously blessed and thankful to work with such beautiful, stupid people and get to see some amazing locations.

Spent the first part of the day chilling by the pool, soaking up the sun, sampling half the cocktail menu then in the eve we went to see Kit's friend who owns a central hostel here in Athens. Athens Sports Bar (most original name, ever!). We drank then climbed a mountain. Admired the breathtaking scenery, had a picnic, admired the scenery some more, watched the sun go down.. all we kept saying was how lucky and thankful we were to have the opportunity to do things like this thank you, Depeche!)

After the sun set we went back to the bar for Monday Quiz night extravaganza. There was jäger, cocktail drinking, dancing, hummus eating. Possibly the best night out I could ever have here in Athens. Pictures below, lots of love to everyone back home xxx
